Officially A Bestselling Author

Wow!  I am so excited!  Okay, for a writer, I should be more eloquent, but honestly, words have escaped me.  *LOL*

I just did a one-day Freebie promo of my book, "Four Weeks 'til  Christmas" and it was downloaded over 2700 in the US and UK combined.  Plus a few dozen in other countries as well.  I am so amazed by it all. 

And, it has inspired some ideas for more short stories as well as some promotional concepts so that I can help other authors as well.

Lots of words floating in my head right now, but the most prevalant...THANK YOU!!!  Without people buying my books, I wouldn't have gotten this far.  It is a huge honor to write stories that readers enjoy.  I only have 4 reviews on my latest book, but I know that there will be more over time.

Anyway, again, Thank You!  And a huge thank you to my friend and fellow author Samantha Holt who has helped me along the way.  She's kicked my butt when needed, inspired me and edited my work.  You rock girl!

Christmas Stories

There are many reason why I enjoy Christmas every year.  It's definitely not the shopping, which I reflected a bit in my story, Four Weeks 'til Christmas.  It is about the heart.  All the heart-felt aspects.  Giving gifts to those you care about.  Seeing a child's face light up when that gift is under the tree.  Helping those less fortunate and letting them know that someone cares; that they do matter. It's magical.  Like the way the world hushes as snow drifts and blankets the world in white during the midnight hours.  When everything looks clean, even if just until the plow drivers start their shift.  :)

I enjoy the stories.  The stories of Christmas miracles and love.  I must've downloaded close to a dozen Christmas romances over the past two weeks.  Much like my own story, most of them are short.  After all, it is a busy time of the year.  We have time to watch a movie, but not a trilogy.  So, we have time for a short story.  And, by the end, something wonderful has happened...who doesn't have time for that??

Anyway, those are some of the reasons I enjoy Christmas.  Oh and the lights...either driving around in the car and looking at the displays in the neighborhood or sitting by the tree, in the dark, mesmerized by the blinking lights.  Something peaceful about it all.  The songs, they always touch my heart and bring tears to my eyes.

Okay, so there isn't much I don't love about the season.  And, I could go on a tangent about what those few things are, but I don't want to go there.  I want to bask in the beauty of Christmas.  And, I want that for you too.

Happy Thanksgiving

Dear friends,

I want to take a moment to wish you a safe and blessed Thanksgiving.  Even if you aren't in the US and don't celebrate the holiday, as we do, it's a wonderful reminder to reflect on what you are thankful for.

I am thankful to each and every one of you here, that shows your support by staying here, reading my posts, sharing your comments and liking my posts.  You are very much appreciated.

I am thankful to my family for being the wonderful people they are and loving me.  I love you all.

I am thankful to my 'real life' and online friends who support me in my writing.

I am thankful to the  men and women who defend our country and to those who gave their lives for our freedom.  To those not at home this Thanksgiving, you are not forgotten.  My prayer is that you make it home, safe and sound and will be with your family soon.

Everyday, there is much to be thankful for.  We take one day to honor and celebrate, but by no means is that the only time to show our gratitude.  It's an every day kind of thing.  You wake up...be thankful.  You have eyes to see, ears to hear, a healthy & whole body...be grateful.
