Thirsty Thursday

From a WIP with the working title "Reconstructing Kailee"

Kevin

My heart pounded ferociously in my chest.  Our first time was intense but the second time left me seeing stars.  Kailee fit me perfectly, her body curved against mine as if she had been made just for me.  She was tight, wrapping around me like a glove.  And, she tasted amazing, like strawberries.  I didn’t even know exactly what I was doing, I just let myself explore her and watched her reactions carefully.  I hadn’t imagined she’d be so responsive, so hot for me.

After I put out the fire in the fireplace, Kailee took my hand and led me down the hallway.  I didn’t know what to expect.  Would she want me to stay the night?  We’d slept in each other’s arms before.  But, that was mostly from staying up late watching movies and just drifting off.  Would this be different?  I wanted so much more from her, but I didn’t know what she’d want from me.

Kailee led me in to her bathroom, which was surprisingly large and modern.  After seeing the rest of the house, I’d have figured this bath would need work too, but it was redone with a huge tub and shower.  She turned on the water, and stepped in, never letting go of my hand.  I followed her in, not sure what to expect next.  Kailee’s eyes were roaming my body, her tongue licking at her bottom lip.  She was so sexy, I felt myself growing hard again.

I had never showered with a woman before, so I had no idea what to do first.  I wanted to touch her everywhere, but honestly, I was scared I was going to fall on my ass in the tub.  Kailee handed me a soap-filled washcloth.

“Wash my back, please,” her voice was too damn sexy.

While I washed her back, Kailee soaped her front, slowly rubbing her breasts, her flat stomach and then in-between her legs.  I don’t remember when I stopped washing her back, I just know I wanted to be where her hands were.  My hands covered hers and roamed her body.  I pressed up against her, wanting to climb inside of her over and over until I was lost completely.

Kailee slowly turned in my arms, her hands still soapy.  She started at my neck and slowly moved her slick hands down my chest, then up and over my shoulders, down my arms and returned to my chest.  She put more soap on her hands and then rubbed at my stomach, slowly inching lower until she was just above my shaft.  Her hands teasingly went around and rubbed at my upper thighs, coming around inside my thighs up to my balls.  She soaped me up there, then her hands gripped my shaft and I almost fell to my knees.  The slide of her hot hands made me throb and twitch. Shifting to the side, Kailee allowed the hot water to rinse all of the soap off of my body.

Her hands never left me, and once the soap was completely gone, she dropped to her knees in front of me and I braced myself against the wall behind me.  Was she really going to…?  Holy shit.  My eyes rolled to the back of my head and I started panting as Kailee slipped those beautiful pink lips over the head and slowly up the length of me until I hit the back of her throat and her nose almost pressed against my lower belly.  Her soft mouth moved up and down my length and despite having already come twice, her mouth on me had a third orgasm erupt from me in mere minutes.

When we finally made it to her bed, I was completely exhausted.  That was the first time in my life, that I came three times in one night, and in only a couple of hours.  No one has ever made me so horny in all of my life.  But, there was more to me and Kailee.  Right from the moment we met, I felt something so strong for her that I couldn’t explain it.  And, every time we were together, even if just watching a movie or driving in the car, she made my heart beat faster and my body heat up.

I wrapped my arms around as she tucked her back in to me.  I think spooning is my favorite way to sleep with her.  As if I can keep her safe and she can’t escape my arms.  I tuck my nose in to her neck and inhale the scent of her hair.  She is perfect for me.  I don’t ever want this to end.

Hope you enjoyed!  And, I sincerely hope you needed an ice-cold drink after that.  ;-)

I'm hoping to finish this WIP and release it this Spring!

Sexy Saturday

From a WIP that I started in  March of 2013 and worked on from time to time.  I haven't finished it yet, and it stands at 17k words.  I hope to finish it this year.  Anyway, here's a little excerpt.  ;)

Kevin

I was seriously starting to get annoyed.  I couldn’t find that brunette bombshell anywhere and now I’ve got sleazy chicks hitting on me.  Well, just one, and maybe not so sleazy, but once I said no she acted like I slapped her in the face.  I really just wanted to see that girl one more time before I left.  Bobby had said he was ready to go.  They wanted me to drive them to a party across town.  I told Bobby I wasn’t staying there, and he said he’d take a cab home.  We were just about to leave when I saw her again.

“Hi,” her voice was smooth.

“Hey,” I tried to keep my voice even.

“Red heads not your type?” She joked.

“Um, not really.  I prefer brunettes.”  I wasn’t trying to flirt.  It just came out.

“Hmmm, me too,” she winked.  I think my heart stopped beating right there.  I was obviously blonde.  Was she joking or what?  She pulled her hair back over her shoulder and the scent of flowers tickled my nose.

I didn’t know what to say.

“What’s your name?”  I may not be her type, but I at least wanted to know the name of the girl that was going to haunt my dreams tonight.

“Kailee. Yours?”

“Kevin.”

“Well, Kevin, I have a confession.”  She paid for her drinks as she turned to me, her scent waved up my nose making my pulse kick up a notch.  “I have a weakness for blondes.”

She turned and walked away and all I could do was watch, mouth hanging open, heart thundering in my chest.  Bobby ribbed me and the guys started hooting and hollering.  I watched her walk back to the other side of the club where her friend waited.

Bobby smacked me on the back and said, “If you don’t want it, I’ll take it.”

I looked at him, trying to figure out what the hell he was talking about.  On the bar, by my hand was a napkin with writing on it.  Kailee 555-6824  Holy shit!  She’d slipped me her number and I hadn’t noticed.  What a jackass I was.  I snatched up the napkin before Bobby or any of the other guys did and tucked it in my pocket.

Now, was the hard part.  Calling her to go out on a date.  Not exactly something I was very good at.

Hope you enjoyed.

Thirsty Thursday

“I’m really sorry about that.”  Rich grinned.  Yvonne wondered about his sincerity.  “You truly are beautiful.”  He pushed her uniform open with the towel.  Her body longed for his touch; to feel his fingertips on her heated skin.  She found herself leaning toward him as he continued to touch her with the towel.  Rich pushed the towel up near one shoulder, then the next, effectively moving her uniform off her shoulders.  Yvonne’s mouth had gone dry.  She couldn’t tell him to stop.  She didn’t want to.

Rich continued to wipe at her as her uniform slipped away, revealing her body to him.  His eyes raked over her and for a split second she attempted to cover herself.  Rich shook his head and she let her arms drop.  He dropped the towel to the floor and let his hands roam her shoulders.

“Do you want me to stop?”

Yvonne shook her head.  It had been a very long time since a man had appreciated her body.  She didn’t know Rich, but he was handsome and his hands felt wonderful.

“I asked for you, you know.”

Yvonne’s head snapped up.

“I saw you the other day when I checked in.”  Rich traced the swell of her breasts and the edges of her lace bra.  “I tried to put you out of my mind.  But, you haunted my sleep.  I had the most delectable dreams of you.  Here.  Naked.  Under me.  Over me.  I called down this morning and demanded that your supervisor send you up.  You know, she balked at first.  But, a generous tip changed her mind.”

Yvonne’s eyes grew wide.  He had set this up?  Intentionally brought her to his room.

“I have a proposition for you.”  Now Rich’s hands traced her stomach, circling her navel then down to the edge of her panties and back up to her navel.  Yvonne squirmed, the feeling he created made her body hum with electricity.

“Okay…”

“Spend one night with me.  Let me show you how much I can please you.  Then, if you want to go our separate ways, we will.  But, if you like how I make you feel, I want you to come work for me.”

Work for him?  What the hell did that mean?

Excerpt for Teaser Tuesday

Would she ever find someone who thrilled her with a simple touch and wanted to be with her forever?

“Hi,” Lacey said quietly as she sat down.

“Everything okay?”  Shawn looked at her, his azure eyes searched her face.

“Yes.  I think I am ready to go home though.  It’s been a long day for me and I’m tired.”

Shawn simply nodded and waved to the waiter who promptly brought over the check.  Shawn paid in cash and tipped the waiter generously before escorting Lacey out to the valet station.  He didn’t say much, but glanced down at her from time to time. The drive home was just as quiet and Lacey sunk down in the seat feeling lost and empty.

“Did you enjoy dinner?” Shawn glanced over as he broke the silence.

“Yes. Very much. Thank you.”

“Then, may I ask what is troubling you?”  Shawn pulled in to her driveway and put the car in park.  He turned off the engine and Lacey felt her nerves bundle up.

Lacey sighed.  She may as well get it over with.  “I’m not in to one-night stands Shawn.”

“Me either.”

Lacey’s head snapped up to look at him.  Was he telling the truth?  Of course he was.  He was into weekend flings she remembered.

“I don’t do casual very well either,” she admitted shifting her eyes to her hands folded in her lap.

“I understand.”  Shawn’s voice was gentle as he reached over and put his finger under her chin, forcing her to look into his eyes.  “I just want to get to know you Lacey.  For over a year, we’ve kept passing one another and other than an occasional ‘hello’ we’ve never even talked to one another.  I’d like to take you out and learn more about you and what makes you happy.”

Lacey stared in to his eyes.  They shone softly as he spoke to her.

“I’d like that too.”  Lacey admitted.

“May I walk you to your door?”

“Okay.”

Lacey walked slowly, enjoying how Shawn’s hand rested on her lower back again.  She fumbled and pulled her keys out.  She knew she was stalling for time, since the goodnight kiss was always awkward.

Shawn placed his hands on her shoulders and turned her towards him.  Lacey’s heart began to race, her body quivering at his slight touch on her skin.  He leaned down and placed a whisper of a kiss on her forehead.  Lacey looked up at him, and saw tenderness in his face.  Shawn took a step back and instantly Lacey missed his warmth.  Feeling bold, Lacey took a step forward, closing the distance between them once again and stood on her tiptoes, placing a light kiss on his lips.  His lips were warm and soft.  She had only meant to give him a quick kiss, but once she felt those lips on hers her body leaned in to his.  Shawn dipped in to Lacey, nibbling on her bottom lip.  A small moan rose up in her chest and she parted her lips for him.

Shawn brought one strong arm down from her shoulder, along her back, pulling her body in tight to his while bringing the other hand up to the back of her neck.  Shawn’s fingers reached up and pulled the clip that held up her chignon, causing her curls to tumble down her back.  Lacey brought her arms up to grab on to his shoulders, nails digging into the muscles.  Shawn groaned and Lacey felt his arousal grind into her belly.

“Not here,” Shawn rasped.

“Okay.”

Lacey fumbled with the keys all the while Shawn nibbled on her neck and shoulders from behind her.  He brought his large hands around her waist.  His hot breath was causing her to completely unravel.  She had to have him.  Now.  She’d never felt this reckless, this worked up, this intense and she didn’t want it to stop.

The door burst open and crashed in to the wall.  Without taking his hands from her waist, Shawn leaned over and kicked it shut with his foot.  His lips crushed hers as Lacey met his every move with as much passion.  Max barked and came running towards them but Lacey merely shooed him away with one hand and he loped away.  In frenzied movements, Lacey yanked off Shawn’s blazer as he undid the knot on her wrap dress.  Their tongues dueled with one another, thrusting and parrying back and forth. Lacey jerked his shirt out of his trousers as Shawn finally got the dress opened.  His hands moved to her breasts, tweaking and pinching her nipples through her satin bra.  The pleasure-pain streaked shocks through her body.

Lacey undid the buttons on his shirt and moved her hands across his broad chest, feeling every muscle undulate under her touch.  Swiftly, she undid the button on his pants, pulling the zipper down and reaching her hands inside to grab his smooth hips.  Her hands traveled around the back, hands slipping inside of his boxers until she was clutching his smooth and taught ass.  Shawn let out a deep groan that rumbled in his chest.
Breathless, Shawn slowly pulled his head back and looked at Lacey.  He slowed their pace by pressing gentle kisses to her forehead, her cheek, her jaw until he reached her neck and inhaled her perfume.

Sensing the change of pace, Lacey looked up at Shawn, studying his face.  She didn’t know what to make of his reaction, but she did know he wanted her just as much as she wanted him.  His arousal pressed in to her belly and she felt the tip sticking out of the front of his boxers, a bead of moisture touching her bare belly.

“I want you so much,” Shawn whispered into Lacey’s hair.  “Do you want me?”

“Yes.”

“Say it.”

“I want you, Shawn.”

Fantasy Friday

Welcome to  Fantasy Friday.  If you enjoy today's teaser, please free to share with your friends.  ;-)

****

Skye watched Zane as he closed his eyes and strummed the last few notes.  He was a god up there on stage.  When he was in his element, performing in front of others, he looked ecstatic.  Skye couldn't help as her own smile widened.  Zane was amazing.  And, he was all hers.

She skipped the last song and slipped her way backstage. Skye hadn't seen Zane for months and she was hungry for his attention, so she had a plan to surprise him.  They Skyped often and talked over the phone, but tonight, she wanted his hands on her body, his lips tasting her pussy, his cock thrusting deep inside of her.  No phone sex tonight.  She was getting the real deal and her body hummed with excitement.

It seemed like forever before Zane came through the door.  Skye wished she could see the look on his face, but she'd turned out the lights and the room was dark, except for the dim light cast from a small window.  All she could make out was the outline of him standing there.  She carefully made her way over to him, as she heard his hand rubbed against the wall, obviously looking for a light switch.  That wouldn't work since she had loosened all of the light bulbs in the room.  She giggled.  Zane's body froze in place and she could see him scratching his head.

Slipping behind him, Skye brought her hands up to Zane's shoulders from behind.  He was a good foot taller than her so she had to reach up on her tiptoes.  She ran her hands down his broad back to his waist, then slipped her hands around front.  Her left hand stroked up his chest under his t-shirt, while her right hand traveled down to stroke the front of his jeans. He bucked into her hand as she cupped his crotch and she giggled again.  It was hard to contain her excitement.  It had been months and she wanted to make up for lost time.

"My girlfriend is gonna to be looking for me."  Zane's voice was husky.   "We need to make this fast."

Skye stopped moving her hands as anger washed over her.  What the hell was that supposed to mean?  Was this normal for him?  Skye hadn't told him she would be waiting in his changing room.  Hell, she hadn't even told him that she was driving across the state to see his show.  Who the hell did he think she was, some groupie?  Skye pulled her hands slowly away from his body, but Zane reached back and cupped her ass, bringing her body hard against his.  She didn't want to do this anymore.  She wanted to get away from him.

He wasn't letting her go though.  One hand slipped under the edge of her skirt, lifting it up, while the other hand tugged her thong down.  Despite the awkward positioning, Zane shoved two fingers into her throbbing pussy.  Skye gasped and Zane turned slightly.  His fingers pulled out and wiped her juices on her clit.  Then, just as he would do onstage, he strummed hard and fast; he played her like his beloved Fender.  She writhed against him, her nails digging in to his arms.  She wanted more.  It had been so long since his fingers played her to orgasm.  Moaning, Skye couldn't hold back.  She didn't want to think, she only wanted to feel.  And quickly, an orgasm ripped through her, causing her to stumble back against the door.

Back to the door, panting, Skye was shocked.  She knew it was Zane, and that was all it took for her to release.  But, he didn't know it was her and that hurt her deep down.  Had he been playing with other girls all this time?  Even though they masturbated together, virtually or over the phone, every single night?  The high of her orgasm quickly faded.  A tear slid down her cheek.

Zane turned just then and in the dim lighting, she could see that he had unzipped his pants and his huge cock was standing almost straight up, casting its own shadow.  She licked her lips and then mentally chastised herself for being such a fool.

"On your knees."

"No."  Skye tried to disguise her voice.

"Yes."

Was this what he did?  Her stomach burned with the thought of him and other girls.  "I'm not one of your groupies."  Skye didn't care now, she wanted to leave.

"Now...Skye."

What?  He knew?

She didn't fight anymore.  He knew it was her.  Zane wasn't playing with another girl tonight.  He was playing with her.  She'd pay him back for scaring her, later.  Right now, she wanted to suck his cock, and taste his cum.  She'd missed all of it and she shut her brain off, dropped to her knees and took him in deep.

Zane groaned.  Skye moaned.

"You are the only groupie I want, Skye.  Now suck me like you mean it and then I am going to fuck you every which way until Sunday."

The fun was only just beginning...

More to come soon!  I will be publishing an anthology in February where all of my teasers will be expanded upon and wrapped up nicely. This rockin' couple will be there as well.  ;)

Merry Christmas-Wet Wednesday

Merry Christmas to those who are celebrating today.

Usually, today would be "Wet Wednesday" and I would create a short teaser that would hopefully tantalize you and have you asking me for more.  However, in consideration for today's significance, it seemed disrespectful for me to write something erotic.  So, in lieu of the typical post, I am sharing a snippet from my recent release Four Weeks 'til Christmas.

Now, I want to say that when I wrote this story, it was about six weeks until Christmas.  Today, the story comes to its conclusion, but I hope it will continue to entertain readers for a long time.  At the end of this post is my more recent release; it went LIVE yesterday and I hope that you will grab a copy of it after you leave my blog.

Technically, the way the characters meet includes liquid, so it's a respectful "Wet Wednesday"; mild and sweet as well.

Four Weeks 'til Christmas Snippet:

“Ah…” Tony put his feet up on the chair next to Noelle.  “I desperately needed to sit down.”

Laughing, Noelle chucked a holiday cookie at Tony.  “You sit all the time.”

“Not true.  Tonight, I've been on my feet since one.”

“Well, I've been on my feet since midnight.  And, a fifteen minute break isn't going to help.”

“Grump.”  Tony chuckled.  “Time’s up kiddo.”

Noelle rolled her eyes at her best friend.  Since coming to work at Samson’s Department Store, Tony had been one of the only people to get close to her.  He didn’t take her quietness as offensive and he went out of his way to make her smile every chance he could.  He was a handsome guy, twenty-one to her twenty-five.  He had beautiful dark brown hair and thick lashes that Noelle would kill for.  Tony had a beautiful swimmer’s physique, just the kind she was attracted to.

Unfortunately, Noelle wasn’t his type.  When she first started working at Samson’s, she thought his playful ways were flirtation.  Yet, he never asked her out and she began to feel self-conscious.  It took awhile for her to pick up on the fact that it wasn’t her that he was not attracted to, but rather her gender.  When he came to her house to pick her up for the movies, bringing his date Daniel with them, it all had become crystal clear to her.  And, of course, Tony never let her forget it, either.

By six a.m. Noelle was beginning to fall apart.  Her feet hurt, her eyes stung and her holiday cheer had walked out the back door.  She only had two more hours to go and she picked up another cup of coffee to boost her energy. When she heard her name called over the loud speaker, she bolted out of the break room with her cup of coffee and barreled in to a wall.  A human wall.

“Shit.”

“Oh my gosh.  I am so sorry.”  Embarrassment and exhaustion took over and as she stared at the huge brown spot on the white shirt in front of her, tears began to slide down her cheeks.

“Hey.  Don’t worry, it’s okay.”  A deep voice vibrated through her.

“I just…it’s…sorry.”  Noelle glanced up at the victim of her clumsiness and gasped.  The man, whom she had just spilled her coffee all over his white button-down, was beautiful.  He was probably over six feet tall, though with his head ducked down to look at her, she couldn’t be sure.  His dark blue eyes were fixed on her face.  He was frowning, but whether it was out of concern or annoyance, she wasn’t sure.

Noelle hadn’t noticed the strong hands that held her up until now.  Warmth flooded through her and for the first time, in a long time, she felt safe.  Noelle glanced down at the large hands that gently held her forearms and the man suddenly let her go, leaving her feeling bereft.  She wondered what it would be like to feel those gentle hands on other places of her body.  How it would feel to tuck herself in to those strong arms?  She sniffed, wiping her hand over her eyes, and an intoxicating scent drifted to her nose, assaulting her senses.

“Sir.  Please forgive me.  It’s been a long night.  If you send me the cleaning bill I will reimburse you.”

“What?”  Oh, he was well over six foot and built like a linebacker.  His face was scrunched with confusion.  Then, a smile crept on his face as a light flickered in those beautiful eyes.

“Don’t worry about the shirt, sweets.  I have plenty more.”

Noelle would normally bristle at the endearment, but something about the gentleness in his voice comforted her, instead.  To make matters worse, the warmth that had flowed through her body was now probably displayed by the blush in her cheeks.  Which, he was gazing at, that moment.

“I am so sorry.  I have to go.”  She turned to head back to the break room.

“Before you go, Noelle…” Her head snapped back and she couldn’t help but glare at him.  He pointed at her Samson’s name tag then flashed a beautiful, wide bright smile at her, stealing her breath away.  He was gorgeous.  Sinfully gorgeous.  Noelle felt her knees weaken as the thought invaded her mind.  “Do you have any more of those singing dolls?  Sammy or Stacey?  I was given the duty of stopping by and getting one for my niece, but I don’t see them any where.”

“Singing Suzy?”

“Ah, Suzy, yes that’s the one.”

“Let me check for you.”  Noelle high-tailed it away from him and once again headed to the store room.  She dug in to a new box that had been delivered at five a.m. and found the doll.

“Here you go sir.”

“Zane. Noelle, please call me Zane.”

Noelle felt her cheeks flame as Zane took the box from her, managing to brush her hand in the process.  She turned again and moved away from him as quickly as she could.  Though she knew she’d never see him again, her heart did flip-flops as she played with his name in her head, thought of his hands on her and imagined kissing those delicious lips.  Just a customer Noelle.  Cut it out.

Recent Reviews Four Weeks til Christmas

Just wanted to share some of the most recent FIVE star reviews for Four Weeks 'til Christmas!

"This is the perfect quick read for Christmas. Sweet, heartwarming, well written and charming. If you're looking for something to provide a nice satisfying read with very likeable characters then this is for you."

"This is designed to be a book to read in a single setting, like you would view a holiday movie, and Jayn Wilde accomplishes exactly this. This is a fairly traditional Romance about Noelle and her relationship with Zane during the month of December. Without giving away too many details, suffice it to say that Noelle manages to conquer her inner demons, and the journey is well-chronicled, real, and heart-warming."

"Noelle is an overworked, part-time student who also holds down a full-time job.
Zane is handsome and charismatic with a lot of dough, and he had me when he went in search of a doll for his niece.  How sweet! you say? That's exactly what I said.  His deep family values made him even more attractive.  With all the festivity and cheer during Christmas, love had to blossom between them.  A lovely, short, but enjoyable read that's perfect for the Silly Season. 5 stars from me."

Zane Williams is wealthy and sinfully handsome. At 30, he must take over the reins of his father's large corporation.  He has little time to enjoy life. His family is scattered and the end of the year means he must devote all of his time to work.  He has yet to understand the meaning of the season.
A chance meeting brings these two wounded souls together.  Will the guilt and pain of their lives outweigh the love and blessings the four weeks 'til Christmas can hold?  Or, will they be able to heal each other and make new memories to last a lifetime?

There are many reason why I enjoy Christmas every year.  It's definitely not the shopping, which I reflected a bit in my story, Four Weeks 'til Christmas.  It is about the heart.  All the heart-felt aspects.  Giving gifts to those you care about.  Seeing a child's face light up when that gift is under the tree.  Helping those less fortunate and letting them know that someone cares; that they do matter. It's magical.  Like the way the world hushes as snow drifts and blankets the world in white during the midnight hours.  When everything looks clean, even if just until the plow drivers start their shift.  :)

I enjoy the stories.  The stories of Christmas miracles and love.  I must've downloaded close to a dozen Christmas romances over the past two weeks.  Much like my own story, most of them are short.  After all, it is a busy time of the year.  We have time to watch a movie, but not a trilogy.  So, we have time for a short story.  And, by the end, something wonderful has happened...who doesn't have time for that??

Anyway, those are some of the reasons I enjoy Christmas.  Oh and the lights...either driving around in the car and looking at the displays in the neighborhood or sitting by the tree, in the dark, mesmerized by the blinking lights.  Something peaceful about it all.  The songs, they always touch my heart and bring tears to my eyes.

Okay, so there isn't much I don't love about the season.  And, I could go on a tangent about what those few things are, but I don't want to go there.  I want to bask in the beauty of Christmas.  And, I want that for you too.

Love & Blessings,

~Jayn~

Excerpt from Four Weeks Til Christmas

Excerpt from Four Weeks 'til Christmas, now available!  Kindle:  http://amzn.com/B00GSPUCTA

The man, whom she had just spilled her coffee all over his white shirt, was beautiful.

“What?”  Oh he was well over six foot and built like a linebacker.

Cover Reveal Four Weeks 'til Christmas Woo Hoo

I am pleased to reveal the cover for my latest romantic short story, Four Weeks 'til Christmas.

cover by: Samantha Holt

And here's a blurb about the story:
The four weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas can be hectic for some, while festive for others.  Noelle Tanner, 25, once enjoyed that time with her family as they celebrated her birthday and Christmas.    But an accident changed all that for Noelle.  Now, she simply goes through the motions every day full of guilt and pain.

Four Weeks First Draft

The first draft of my short story "Four Week 'til Christmas" is DONE!  I've sent it over to my friend Sam for her feedback and more than likely, a ton of edits.  I am horrible with grammar, but am hoping she doesn't find too many mistakes.  Sam is also going to craft a beautiful cover for me, which I will reveal here.

Anyway, I still have to work on an official blurb, but I wanted to share a snippet with you.  This is how our couple met...

So, anyway, that is how Noelle and Zane met.  I hope that this love story will touch my readers.  It grabbed me and forced me to write it.  I couldn't sleep without the storyline ringing through my head.  Every time I had five minutes, I was at the laptop typing.  I didn't even close the document because I couldn't waste a moment waiting for it to re-open.  So, I left it open after each session of 'type and save'.  I hope to have the finished product up on Kindle by Thanskgiving.

It has been SUPER exciting to get back to writing.  Back to story-telling.  Back to romance.  =)  I think what broke through my block was sitting down and writing a few pages in a notebook each day.  After two days, I w as back to typing.  I had another story that I was working on, just a few days ago.  Then, as I was bombarded with Christmas commercials, Noelle's story came to mind.  I was off to the laptop and within two days had typed out almost 16k on a story that had a 15k goal.  AND, depending on what my friend Sam thinks, I may add an Epilogue too.

A huge THANK YOU to Samantha Holt, my friend and greatest supporter.  Thank you to my hubby and kids who put up with me running to the laptop throughout the weekend.  Thank you to all my readers.  I love every one of you.

Christmas Story

I've been considering writing a Christmas story. Perhaps a short story or novella. A little holiday magic, romance and perhaps a bit of danger mixed in as well. The thought has popped in my head here and there over the past few weeks. Funny thing about time...it keeps moving. So, if I am going to do it, I'd better whip it up fast, get edits done and get it out there, right? I mean, after all, Christmas isn't very far off.

So I am starting the story today and hoping for the best. It will start on Black Friday and be set in the retail environment. Anyone who has ever shopped, in person, during the holiday season knows that it is a wicked time. Some people are aggressive and edgy. Some people are so wrapped up (pun...hee hee) in the holiday season that they wear perpetual smiles and hum Christmas tunes throughout the day. I tend to fall somewhere in between. I love the season, hate the cold and dread shopping. I love to give gifts, especially the 'unexpected'. The kids may want today's latest game system, but my mind works overtime to recall all those 'little things' they love, want and enjoy. I don't buy the trendy stuff, but focus on the lasting items that show I pay attention to the recipient's interests.

Anyway, the heroine will be a retail clerk. She will be surrounded by co-workers and customers that try to stifle her enjoyment of the holidays. An optimist at heart, and a romantic through-and-through, the heroine will find that this holiday season, the best gift she could ever hope for will come from a complete stranger (our hero). But, in order for her to be happy, she must deal with the ghosts of Christmas past. And, her hero must be willing to deal with his ghosts of Christmas present.

Very excited to put these thoughts in to a story that will hopefully touch the hearts of others.

Working title: "Four Week 'til Christmas"

Stay tuned!!

New Facebook Page!

Hey Folks!

I just created a new facebook author page for my pen name Jayn Wilde.  Now, I did have one before and that FB account got flagged for some reason.  In my years as a Network or Internet Marketer (think "MLM" or something like "Amway") I had built many pages on the internet.  Not just FB, but twitter, myspace, youtube, etc. etc. etc. and so I was quick to get the page done fast BUT after gaining some momentum, some unexplained obstacle came up.

ANY WAY...I am back and if you would do me the honor and privilege of clicking "Like" on my page, I'd be so happy!  Just go to facebook and look up " Jayn Wilde Romance".  Since it's a new page, I don't have a pretty, fancy shortened URL, but I hope you'll find me all the same.

I will be posting book snippets, special promos, new books and other information right there.  I will probably share some hot, hunky guys as well...so you've been forewarned!  LOL

Thanks SO much for sticking by me and I will return ALL likes, so if you could..."Like" from your personal page and then comment with your author or business page.

*Kisses*

New Release Danika's Gift

I have released my latest book, Danika's Gift.  A contemporary romance with a little bit of special abilities included.

Synopsis:

Danika's lived a secluded life, hiding her 'gift' from others.  Her mother protected her and home-schooled her after a tragedy at the age of six.  Now with her mother gone, her father a thousand miles away, Danika is moving forward with her life and heading to college.

Despite trying to blend in, Danika meets Derek and she fears the new feelings he brings out in her.  She’s never known her stomach to flip flop, her pulse to race without exercising, her face to heat up or the feel of throbbing between her legs.  His attention to her creates mixed emotions and with that comes the fear that her gift may become known.  For her to get close to anyone may reveal future events that she cannot control.

Everything comes crashing down around Danika as she and her friend are kidnapped.  While every previous event was a distant fear, now her gift has brought danger directly to her.  All of her fears and insecurities are laid out before her as he struggles to find a way, any way, to use her gift for as something other than a curse.

Her gift makes her special...but is the gift worth dying for?
