From my WIP "Dante's Denial"

Simone’s arm brushed against his thigh as they both kneeled before the safe which was bolted to the floor.  A surge of heat flooded Dante’s senses and of course, went straight to his groin.  Simone jumped back, putting a distance between them.  Dante didn’t miss the look in her eyes though.  She had the “deer in headlights” look as she backed away from him.  Her breathing was ragged, causing those perfect tits to heave, almost begging for his attention.

Dante strode over to Simone before she could move from the corner of the office.  She opened her mouth to say something, but Dante was on her before she uttered a sound, his mouth crushing hers.

Lexi shielded her eyes from the sun and gasped at the Adonis in front of her.  Tall, broad shoulders, sandy blonde hair with a day’s worth of matching scruff along a strong jaw line hiding a deep dimple.  His sapphire eyes sparkled with laughter.  Yum.  A cowboy.  That’s what he looked like.  Pale blue button down shirt tucked in to hip hugging faded jeans, black cowboy boots finished off the look.

“Did I pass?”  Adonis asked, chuckling.

From my recent WIP called Teasing Lexi

"May I have this dance?”

A large, rough tanned hand extended over her shoulder just as Lexi picked up her glass of champagne.  The fingers brushed against the skin on her bare shoulder and Lexi felt prickly energy course over her skin.  She turned her head and smelled the expensive cologne before looking up to see the strikingly handsome man the hand belonged to.

Dante.

Lexi felt heat rise to her cheeks as she gazed in to his deep brown eyes.  Ever since he’d first caught her eye, whenever he looked at her, his eyes were predatory.  He was confident and casual, but there was a heat in those eyes that made her whole body tremble.

Derek Doesn't Date

From my current work in progress, Danika's Gift.  She finds herself attracted to a hot guy and for the life of her, can't figure out why he'd possibly want to take her out to dinner.  Insecure, shy and trying to hide from the general public, she decides to ask.  Here's his answer:

“Well, let’s see.   I brought you here because I like you.  I brought you to my father’s restaurant because I wanted to be comfortable while I got to know you.  Other places, I have to worry about who sees me and what they’ll say or if they’ll interrupt.  Not here.  No one can even see us and we can just relax and get to know one another.  I don’t date because I have had no interest in doing so.  I chose you because when I first saw you, I wanted to flirt with the new girl.”

I am currently doing edits on my next book, which is titled "Danika's Gift."  The main character, Danika, has a gift for seeing events before they can happen.  The problem is, whether or not it is truly a gift or a curse.  When she meets Derek, she begins to wonder if she can actually have a normal life and whether or not her gift can be used for good.

I closed my eyes and threw an arm over my face.  I couldn’t stop smiling.  Derek came up next to me, his hands now tracing patterns along my stomach and chest.  He kissed at my shoulder, nibbling my skin.  Every inch of me was hypersensitive and his touch was making my body tremble.

“That was amazing,” I murmured.

“You are amazing,” Derek whispered in my ear. He licked at my collarbone, sending shivers through my heated body.

Isabelle Walks Right In to Danger

Weekend Writing Warriors 8 Sentence Sunday!!

I wanted to share a small burb from my most recent published book, The Key to Helmbrooke.  If you haven't read it yet, this scene is where Isabelle is traipsing through the darkened woods, determined to make her way to the queen's castle.  Without anyone to guide her or protect her, one wrong step brings her right into the arms of a dangerous stranger:

“Please,” a woman’s voice whispered.

Zander let her go and whirled her around to face him, one hand tight on her arm. His eyes widened with surprise, for just a moment.  He had not expected a young girl.  For a split second, he was mesmerized by her eyes, striking at the chords of his heart.  They were filled with fear, wide with surprise.  He gave his head a quick shake breaking the stare.

“What are you doing here?” Zander growled at her.
